TO LOG OR NOT TO LOG IS THE QUESTION
If you are a beginning walker or have completed a walk race, start keeping a detailed walking log now so you won’t miss out on years of historical data regarding your walking or eventually jogging /running events.
I recommend filling out a day’s entry right after you walk when all the information is still fresh in your mind. I suggest writing down:
Where you walked
Weather conditions
Shoes you wore
Your weight
Walk races (along with pertinent race day information
How you felt during each run
Training logs can help you answer questions such as:
How did I come back the last time I was injured?
What are the most miles I ran in a week? In a year?
Do I tend to get more sore throats when I increase my mileage?
How well did my last pair of walking shoes wear?
Did I suffer post race depression after my first run?
I hope that you will gain much knowledge from this Fitness Expo today. If you have any questions that you are not clear on, please feel free to drop me a note
Thank you for your participation and have a nice holiday.
